About the design:

No Distance Too Far was my half of a collaboration with Beth Twist of Heartstring Samplery for the Pacific Northwest Stitch Summit 2024 hosted by Acorns & Threads.

Beth and I wanted to convey a stitcher's desire to be with one another at retreats or gatherings...no matter the distance. Beth lives in Oregon and I live in Michigan, yet we've seen each other for the past few years at retreats.

Once we had the theme and verse, we went to work designing our half to reflect our home state.

I've included the Michigan state bird - American Robin, state flower - Apple Blossom & our state tree - Eastern White Pine. The "house" in my design represents our studio overlooking a pond where deer, raccoon, squirrels and water fowl often visit. The CW is for "Creative Whims".

If you purchase Beth's half, titled "Across the Miles" you can stitch them separately or stitch them together in one long piece.

My wish for you is to have lots of time to stitch with your friends near and far because distance means so little when someone means so much.
