Houseboat Hangout is my design for the Cottage Garden Beneath the Waves Palette - Xstitch the Rainbow 2026. A whimsical underwater scene featuring a charming houseboat with colorful fish, butterflies, coral, and sea life in vibrant oranges, purples, and teals. This delightful design captures the magic of an ocean hangout beneath the waves.

Cottage Garden Threads are available in 10-meter skeins. Since each Beneath the Waves design is 60x60 or smaller, you can stitch multiple patterns with one thread pack.

Stitched with one strand of floss over two linen threads

Cottage Garden Beneath the Waves Palette in Citrus, Sea Change, Sizzler, and Mariana

Finished into a pillow with fabric, buttons and a bow and filled with crushed walnut shells and fibrefill.
